Summer '22 - City Fashion

The dominant trend this summer is getting away, the need to escape and travel, even if this is only with our minds. Even if we spend this summer in the city, fashion is the stuff of dreams and always offers us the opportunity to be creative one way or another. The well-known fashion houses presented interesting suggestions that we can easily adopt with clothes that we already have in our wardrobe or we can find without much difficulty! Let's not forget that fashion always returns to previous decades and the pieces we have put aside over the years are a precious treasure!

  1. Monochrome intensity

Bright colours scream joy and freedom and this time they make a comeback with the absolute monochrome trend. Vibrant fuchsia, coral, orange, turquoise and blue costumes on the catwalks of Versace, Armani, Alexander McQueen and Stella McCartney, delicious shades of green by Bottega Veneta in everyday dresses and bags, yellow skirt suits and electric blue dresses by Christian Siriano and Alaïa. Our body is transformed into a column of colour that inspires us to move with optimism in the gray of the city! Whichever colour and style you choose for your daily trips to work and walks, you will be a winner even before you leave the door of your home!

  1. Summer Outfits

Imagine a fashion like school uniforms, but for modern and dynamic women. This was envisioned by Prada and Miuccia, the designer who loves to lavish style on the women of today. Maxi skirts with pleats combined with shirts and blazers, blazer dresses in the same print or with interesting colour contrasts, such as colour-blocking, wide-leg trousers or pants with pleats combined with a matching top and a well-stitched jacket. The emphasis on this trend is on tailoring and the feeling that a uniform doesn't have to be austere—only comfortable and with playful details!

  1. Reinventing Minimalism

Fendi, the designers of the effortlessly elegant brand The Row and the new enfant terrible of French fashion Jacquemus suggest a calm monochrome outfit in shades of white and beige. Suits worn with crop tops or pants with oversized shirts, airy maxi dresses, mini dresses with matching colour pants underneath, skirts like a pareo with the same shade of a close-fitting top. Easy on the eye, with the sense of purity dominating and serenity enveloping us with ethereal elegance in every activity.

Never forget that fashion suggests but does not dictate. You can watch how the related video on my GoodLife by Gina YouTube channel! For me fashion means freedom of expression, comfort, ergonomics and above all… fun!
